HHIM distributes about 7500 wheelchairs annually. Many of the wheelchairs are distributed through our partnering organizations, however HHIM also coordinates wheelchair distribution trips with volunteers efforts. Our teams consist primarily of volunteer physical/occupational therapists and RTSs who are able to fit or adapt the wheelchairs to meet the needs of the recipients. Other volunteers with no experience are also welcome to participate in the distributions on an as-needed basis.
